collect.log What gets logged
When you visit the site, standard server-side signals get logged: IP address, browser and device strings, referring URL, the pages you opened, and timestamps. We also run Google Analytics, which sets first-party cookies and forwards aggregated usage metrics — sessions, page views, rough geographic region — so we can see which articles land and which ones flatline. We don't ask for, store, or process names, emails, or payment details on this site.
Third-party transmissions go out in a few categories: analytics (Google Analytics), affiliate-link tracking (the partner network sets a cookie when you click through to a tool's site), and any embedded media we include — for example, a video player or a hosted screenshot. Each third party operates under its own privacy policy; we link to the tools we recommend, but their data handling is on them once you arrive.
cookies.bin Cookies and trackers
First-party cookies on this site are limited to analytics and basic site preferences. Third-party cookies are dropped by the affiliate networks and embedded services described above. You can clear, block, or selectively allow cookies through your browser settings — every modern browser exposes controls under privacy or site settings, and most also offer a "do not track" toggle. Disabling cookies will not break the site; some affiliate attribution may not work, which only affects us, not you.
rights.cfg Your access codes
If you are in a jurisdiction with formal data-protection rights — including the EU (GDPR), the UK (UK GDPR), and California (CCPA/CPRA) — you have the right to request access to any personal data we hold about you, request its deletion, request correction of inaccuracies, and opt out of analytics or sale of personal information. Because we do not maintain user accounts or sell data, most requests resolve to confirming we hold nothing identifying about you beyond raw server logs, and rotating you out of analytics.
To exercise any of these rights, or to ask anything else about how we handle data, email [email protected]. We respond within thirty days. This policy was last updated May 19, 2026, and may be revised when the underlying stack or applicable law changes.
